are these mistakes?


The film is set in the late 1980s or early 1990s, Billy Bright is meant to be around 40 years old. But in the flashback to when he's boy of 10 years old, his dad is dressed like a Skinhead from the late 70s early 80s - but logically the flashback should be about 1960. I know there were Skins in the 60s but they didn't dress that way and there were none as far back as 1960.

When Bill talks about having been in WW2 and landed in Normandy, he refers to it as his National Service - wouldn't he have referred to it as 'War Service' instead?

Says who? Hooliganism was at it's height during those years but not exclusive to that time period. English fans caused carnage in Marseilles during the 1998 World Cup.

War service was an administrative term used when dealing with service pensions and such. National service was the term used to describe conscription.
