Reversed Hard Candy

For quite a while it was difficult to read the motivation for a grown up guy with either a lack of interest or difficulties to go up against his own age kind of partners. Probablu a hint was his long contemplation of the picture of the historical young daughters of the Russian Tzar Nicholas II about his preferences for girls a bit under the age limit. What's not so obvious were his actual ends and the reasons behind his strong restrains when it came to actions. How much they were influenced by the ET personality of his 'prey' remains forver to be seen but IMO she was a total surprise for him and the audience alike in the sense that she was a bit of an ageless person capable enough to handle him in whatever his original designs were and, at the same time, always in total control of her own feelings/reactions.
To me this is a totally believable and wonderfuly directed story up to the moment someone dropped the ball about the awkward way chosen to be defined. Both the main characters did a perfect job and they deserved a much real ending which could've gone in any conceivable direction for any audience.
