Wonderful surprise of a movie

I bought this hypnotic, trippy little oddity of a movie from the gigantor DDD sale, and I must say I'm glad I did.

The feature definitely lives up to the weirdness of its title. The premise is pretty much 'bed gets possessed with demon and devours those that are unfortunate enough to sit/sleep on it.' That should be enough to see the movie right there! But you also get bonus 70s super-effects, including what looks like the bed's stomach filled with acid, devouring and disintegrating its human meals.

Has anyone been fortunate enough to see this movie?

I have not watched it and never will, but were the special effects convincing overall, not just for a low budget film?

I don't want to see it I am just curious.

Yeah don't expect the type of creature effects you would see in a bigger movie with an actual budget. The special effects as said are played for laughs and at times can be unconvincing. It's one of those use your imagination type of things. It does get better and one thing the movie does do well is maintain it's bizarre atmosphere. I couldn't help but stay tuned to the end.

I don't even think it's worth watching for comedy. After comedy you get this horrifying joke for a movie.

are you kidding me? we rented it because it was such a terrible title that it had to be funny! it wasn't even funny! it was boring, weird, and not trippy. it was just a bed randomly eating people, people randomly bleeding from nothing, typical 70s style boobs for the sake of showing boobs. this was actually worse than we thought it would be!

It's hard to find, but a recent DVD release makes it almost possible to attain this film. Well worth the effort. Artful, horrific and totally hilarious!

When I was preparing a class I was teaching on the history of horror films, this was recommended to me by one of my peers (I was a student teacher for a day in my film class. Needless to say I loved it! Very out there movie; definitely a lot of fun, and tongue in cheek.

For anyone that loves bizarre movies I highly suggest taking the time to enjoy this flick. Definitely one for the ages.

yes...this movie kicks tail!

Is it just me or does the voice of the artist remind anyone else of Stewie from Family Guy?

Just saw this and was completely knocked out.
A genuinely surreal film with a fever dream sort of feel to it.
It reminded me of Eraserhead and Cocteau's films, especially Blood of a Poet.
I'm recommending this to anyone with a taste for the unusual.

Rented it for Halloween this year. Watched it with a small group of friends and a bottle of vodka.

We had a blast. I loved it. And I couldn't stop telling people about it afterwards.

I downloaded it and it was worth every penny of the nothing I paid. This is a bad movie. I somewhat liked it.
