What is the paper?

During the New Years party, after Ryan leaves, Santa tells Holly it was Ryan that helped the welfare woman get her kids back, then he gives her a piece of paper and tells her something to the effect of: "He was there." What is he referring to?? What is that paper?

The paper that Nick gives to Holly at the New Year's Eve party is the location where Ryan is at ...

The location is the hilltop that overlooks the city ...

Because Holly had about 15-20 minutes til the stroke of midnight (aka "end of the twentieth year") to find Ryan ... Nick had to tell her where Ryan would be going ... Otherwise, the two hearts that were ready would miss out on each other ...

You're welcome!

This is one of my favorite movies of all time ... It's a shame that Hallmark Channel edits parts of it out depending on what time of day it's shown & for time constraints (commercials) ...

There's 3 more chances to see it on Hallmark Channel this season ...

Sat 12/27 7:00 PM
Sun 12/28 2:00 PM
Wed 12/31 9:00 PM

There's some interesting reading about the movie on the Hallmark Channel press site ... Q&As with some of the actors, story synopsis and more ...

I just saw it for the first time last week and really loved it as well. I can't even explain why. Something about the chemistry of the two main characters is so dynamic.

*gasps* They EDITED parts out???? I had no idea! I would think that since it is a made-for-TV-movie, there would be no need for that. Thanks for telling me. There may have to be a DVD purchase in my future.

The chemistry between Patrick Muldoon and Kelli Williams is great ... Plus, the story gives people hope ...

Yeah, they edited parts out ... It was specifically made-for-tv for the Hallmark Channel ... I saw it when it first came out a couple of years ago and noticed the difference depending on if the movie was shown at say 3pm vs 9pm vs 1am ...

The most noticeable edits are in: the final scene where they're at the overlook ... the scene where the senior partner tells Ryan to not take anymore pro bono cases (Though, I'm not sure if that one actually exists) ... the scene where Ted shows up at the Christmas party at Holly's office ... the ice skating scene which leads to the 20 questions scene (The questions start in the car) which leads to the scene of a phone call that Ryan makes to Holly ... the scene where they show Ted following Ryan back to his home/loft & Ted talks to another tenant to find out that Ryan's not really "Doug Firwood" ...

The synopsis on the Hallmark Channel press site gives a lot of insight to what is missing ...

But, I would definitely buy the DVD ...
