One moment that makes it all worthwhile

(Spoiler free)

Like a film or hate it, I always look for at least one line or scene or shot that shows true originality. In the case of Boo, it was the kid trying to shoot the lock off the door. To the best of my knowledge, that wasn't ripped off from anywhere and it's a scene that has been overdue for about fifty years. I doff my hat to whoever was responsible.

My opinion by the way - graded against the curve Boo is in the top 20% of the films shown on Sci-Fi Schiddy Scinema Scaturday. Don't try to compare it to a B theatrical release (like 13 Ghosts), compare it to Mansquito or Pterodactyl. If you're watching Sci-fi channel on a Saturday night, it's not like you don't deserve what you're getting.

Maybe a smart idea, but it was forgotten almost immediately that he took a ricochet bullet to his upper body. Good idea, horrible delivery if you ask me.

So much for being spoiler free then I guess.

As for your concern, I think you would be hard pressed to list action/sci-fi/horror films where characters don't shrug off major wounds in the space of a camera cut (and that includes big budget studio releases). People only limp from leg wounds if they have a slow monster chasing them and blood loss only happens if the plot demands a time constraint. A small wound that vanishes is so far below the plot hole/cliché threshold it's hardly worth the time to point out.

Yeah, no. My roommate and I watch lots of terrible terrible horror movies because they're so bad they're good. This one was just bad.

I kinda liked this movie cause it felt like a very poor student film. But nevertheless, it was bad. LOL. I especially hated the part where the blonde dude said "i'm Sorry" to the dead girl before she killed him. Jeez pal, fight back, push her away, run, kick her, do something, don't just stand there and take the wooden stick into ur stomach.

Absolutely! I mean, sure the ghost was infecting him so he couldn't open doors and stuff but JEEZ! I loved this movie because horror movies are pretty much my life but those two were complete IDIOTS! Kevin cheating on Jessie with a whore, and the whore Marie sneaking around on Freddy. I liked Freddy. There was no point in killing him. Anyways I loved this movie and in fact I'm writing my own sequel. Find it on your own, that's how things work.

I have to agree it's just the way he says "this is how a man would get out of here" or something and then does something sooo dumb, I was crackin up. Not as grim as I was expecting though. Dog Soldiers had me feeling uneasy with the er well the guts scene, but no uneasiness this time sadly, maybe I will get that with the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre film...
