I noticed the first review on the front page by a Simon Richardson who gives this movie a 9/10. I smell a rat.

I watched this movie with friends the other night, they were looking forward to watching it since it had "scariest movie of the year" on the back of the DVD. I was a little bit cynical being a (good) horror movie buff and after I watched it I was right.

Boo just seemed to drag on too much and was too long for 97 minutes, the film makers just wanted to give us gore and not create any atmosphere.

It just didn't work.

I see your point having high standards being pushed out to you about this film, and then seeing it may cause you to be disappointed. They're some scences that didn't need to be there, and dragged on way to long, but other than that I thought it had a pretty decent plot line. I mean come'on Hospitals are creepy in general. I understand you point but I will still rate this film high due to the amount of effort that went in to it.

I learn to expect NOTHING before watching a film :)

For some people "Boo" just doesn't catch their attention very well.
