Is the nurse also Jessie's mother?

reply

No

reply

NO!
A few people here seem to think that... Why?

I can see why people would think it. The fire in the hospital, Jessie's flashbacks, and her mother appeared to be severely burned (although it was cancer).

I knew it! My friend kept arguing with me saying that the nurse was her mom but she wasn't. There were several scenes in the movie that just didn't add up to it, but I can see why she would think that cuz the resemblance between the two were uncanny. Even though I decided to just drop it, I didn't believe her. I really need to start holding up arguments against people when I know something's not right.

It is Jessies mother.... i JUST watched it on Sci Fi, and at the end ,the ghost appears and then disappears, and the 2 guys go"who was that" and Jessie goes"that was Jacobs nurse, and it was also my mother"

reply

Ok, I just got done watching Boo on Sci Fi a few minutes ago, and I rememeber Jessie saying that 'that was Jacobs' nurse' but she didn't say it was also her mother.
Jessies' mother was not the nurse.

If you look at the credits it says:

Terri Novak .... Jessie's Mom

Dee Wallace-Stone .... Nurse Russell

Different actresses, different characters.

reply

"She was Jacolb's nurse, she was one of the good guys."

Direct quote, hope that clears this up.

reply

she says "and also one of the good guys", not 'my mother'

Nope ... the nurse and J's mother are two different persons ... I don't think that it was ever imply anywhere in the movie that they two are actually the same person ... the resemblance, yes, kinda ... but judging from the events and flashbacks which J has ... its obvious that the two are hundred percent not the same, its two matters taking place at two different point of time ... doubted that the two even knew each other ... J's mother was an event that was triggered due to J's guilt of not doing enough for her and seeing her died from cancer ... the nurse was sum1 that J only has brief encounters with in the hospital and when she dropped the keys outta the window ...

PS: J never say that the nurse was her mother ... the nurse was not wearing any necklace similar to what J was wearing ...
