The building they shot from outside is real I guess since it was in one episode of Dexter too but I dont know about inside. I wish I knew more about it.

Since I worked on BOO! as one of the art department crew, I can give you an honest answer. You can view my credits at www.IMDB.com search name Mary Sampaio. I worked throughout the night when the cast and all crew members had gone home, so I could set up the scene for the next moning, and work on the pipe that impales the head. I had matched it to an actual pipe that Sam Greenmun, the production designer, gave me. Kevin Wassner, FX artist, needed it ASAP first thing in the a.m. There's no power throughout the whole building, and it's just me and the security guard who couldn't talk. I think he was a deaf mute in fact. I was all alone working on the elevator, touching up the painting and hardware, and freshening it up since it was a pick-up shot (my color and drippy retouching and yuckiness is my ode to NIN, since that's what it reminded me of ) and finishing up shaving the prop pipe I fitted to my head, when the real pipe which was standing on a metal table all damn night in fact, tipped over (concrete floors, no earthquake) and I heard a shuffling in the next room. I freaked out, dropped what I was doing to find the security guard because I thought someone had breached the building and ran pass me without me seeing them. The surveillance picked up nobody. The next day, I'm gathering file cabinets, furniture, desks etc... to build the (I call it ) WALL O' *beep* which blocks the characters way through the tunnel in the movie. On the actual 3rd floor which was the O.B. prenatal ward, I came across a blonde lady in a red top who looked lost, and I didn't recognize her as crew or cast, so I asked her if she needed help, or who she was with. She ignored me, and kept looking into the rooms as though she didn't see me. I advised her that this was a closed set, and dangerous to be walking around in the mess. It's really that GROSS for real! Since she didn't acknowledge me, I ran downstairs and advised the guard on duty. He walked up with me, and there's only one stairway down or up in that building. No working elevators. We should've seen her. We asked the cast and crew if they had a friend or whatever on set, noone knew who it could be. I didn't see her after that. She just disappeared! It is rumoured that a lady had died giving birth and is still looking for her baby on that floor. I didn't hear about that until I shared my story with others. True haunted hospital! It's scary downstairs, too. You can't see without flood lights. Sounds of movement was heard all night long...
