I HAVE SEEN SOME OF THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!

Hi all Kathy here!
Just wanted to say that I saw some of the film and it was GREAT!!!
I went to the convention in Pigeon Forge and met the Director Shane along with Jimbo from Pine Mountain Railroad and they were really nice! They talked about the movie and soundtrack then played some scenes from the movie! IT WAS REALLY COOL!! they had people handing out small movie posters to everyone and I have it on my wall now!!
Well, I am glad that this message board is here!!
If anyone else was at the songwriters convention last week let me know!

I really hope ypu become a regular here. Most people are not aware that there are many accounts of very credible and well respected people regarding Kate BAtts and her alleged identity as the Bell . Post again soon with some of your opinions. Talk to Sara_Lissimen and Lambengolmo or to some degree, myself, about the parts of the movie you saw, we will be glad to talk about any questions you may have. By the way, this is probbly a good chance to make our little peice of the world on the map, or at least make it known around the southeast U.S. Post some more later, we would love to hear your thoughts.

I wish I could've gone! I bet it was awesome! How was the soundtrack? Was it sort of like Oh Brother Where Art Thou? Also, how was the acting in the parts you saw?

Randel: But I love gatherings. Ironic, isn't it?

The movie sounds great; the only disappointment was that it was filmed in East Tennessee instead of Adams. There's another movie coming out called The Bell Witch Haunting that also looks good. It's going to be shown March 27th at the Belcourt Theater in Nashville. See www.thebellwitchhaunting.com

looks interesting.

I went to this website and it was a joke! It looks like this film is riding the coat tails of Bell Witch the movie, don't waste your time, and did you know that Cold Mountain was shot in Romania But the movie was set in North Carolina? So I don't guess it really matters where a movie is made.

reply

why do you think it is a joke?? just wondering im neither for or against this one.

Yeah, why???

It doesn't matter how much money you have or how popular you are; life will end and that is it for this world.

Just to clear something up:

Bell Witch the Haunting was shot in February 2003 (according to their web site). Bell Witch: the Movie completed shooting in November of 2002 and not a single frame has been shot since. I must, on the basis of maintaining accuracy, correct the previous poster's statement.

Other interesting facts about Bell Witch: The Movie

The teaser trailer won a Telly in 2002
Was the second film ever shot on the Sony 24P HD camera
Will be released in THX certified 5.1 surround sound
The cast an crew are credited to such movies as: Last of the Mohicans, Forest Gump, Shallow Hal, X-Files, Friday the 13th and many, many others.

Hey everyone,

I have also seen some of the movie, in addition to having designed the Bell Witch: the Movie web site (www.bellwitchthemovie.com).

Let me try to answer a couple of your questions...

1. The movie is just that, a movie. Certain liberties must be taken to adapt any historical event for the screen, but the producers, writers and director of BW:TM felt it was of the utmost importance to preserve the essence of the story. Though every detail may not be precisely accurate, the movie stays, in my opinion, as true as it is possible to be to the original story.

2. The soundtrack is awesome, go to the web site and you can hear short samples of each song.

3. As nice as it would be to shoot it in Adams, on the location scouting trip to the area there were very few places that could even remotely pass for a mid-eighteenth century town. Shooting it in Townsend, TN, where there are a number of historical locations, allowed to movie to be filmed in buildings that were appropriate to the time frame of the story.

Bell Witch: the Movie is in the final stages of post production and should be in theatres late spring or early summer 2005
