Fntasy to the people.

I just wish that svt would make more series like this one. How come there are so few Swedish fantasy series made?

I've never heard of "De Drabbade" before. Just recently read the plotline and some comments here about it and I really want to see that tv-series.
Now I'm wondering how SVT was marketing this tv-series! Cos I havn't heard about it and this IS my genre! I also watched TV a lot the fall of 2003.
They are showing a re-reun of the tv-series now at SVT but 5 episodes have already been shown and (of course) I want to see the first episodes as well. Will this tv-series make it out on DVD? Anyone who knows?

SVT should have used more money for marketing De Drabbade before it was shown. I think thats why the tv-series had few viewers. Bad marketing!

I guess you can find it at other places as well, it's just that I prefer discshop myself. I thought the marketing was kind of good, I mean I knew about it long before it started airing. I'm sorry you missed it, because it's a good show worth watching.

How was they marketing "De Drabbade"?? Through ads in papers or just at svt.se?

I'm not quite sure, it's been a while, but I think that they ran a lot of commercials on svt during that time. There might actually have been some pre-show or something lie that with a little behind the scenes material. I just knew that I knew about it in before-hand and that I was really glad, because fantasy's my bag and to see a Swedish fantasy show was like "whoa, this could never happen", but it did.

Ok!
Thanks for the website-adress u gave me. Now I've seen the trailer for it. There's a red barn (I think) in the trailer with a big sign on it. I recognize that barn. That means I must have seen something about the series before it was shown......... :) Then the marketing wasn't that bad. :)
I think I'm gonna buy the dvd-collection box! :D

I watched in intensely when it was sent on Norwegian TV for a couple of years ago, it was SO great. And I just had to buy the series on dvd when it came out. And call me a loser, but I actually used a whole sunday to watch the entire show (about 12,5 hours)
it's so great!

Many wedish movies and series are so great.
Here are my favorites

* De drabbade (of coarse)
* Det okenda (except for the stupid ending, it's *beep* great!
* Sleepwalker (great movie)
* Besökarna (it's an old movie, but the script, the filming and the acting are great. You really believe in it)
* Everything by Lukas Moodysson (my idol)
* c/o Segemyhr was stupid, but kind of funny
