he didn't fit/pull of the role of the father very well. Perhaps he was just dealt a poorly written character, but he didn't do very much with it.

Affleck was born in 1975; Cassel's youngest kid (Dilyn Cassel) was born in 1978, when Cassel was about 40.

You seem WAY too young to be on the Internet without Mommy and Daddy watching over you.

SC is a god to me (from Cassevete films) and I do wish he had more lines here. (hard to do much with not a lot of dialogue)

It's obvious that his character is that of the reluctant, reticent, retiring member of the family, which he portrayed exceedingly well.
