What are some other Indie-classics?

(Can't remember when I saw this movie first, but it blew me away.
It was my first real meeting with the Indie-genre.
Then again, maybe I just really connected with the characters. It's like seeing my life on the canvas.
The selfishness, the belief he is better than the others, his desparete desire to be a great writer but unable to produce anything...
There are a million's of us out there, but this was a great portrayal. Almost Salinger-esque.)
