I thought the movie was great!! The cast was so good. Everybody seemed to fit their roles perfectly. I can't wait to see it again. It is one of those movies that makes you feel good at the end. It is so sweet and cute. ABC Family picked a winner with this one.
shareI thought the movie was also very good. I read another person's comments that the movie seemed too real to Jason's actual life, and that he wasn't acting at all. I disagree with that comment. It was actually hard to tell what part he was attempting to play, that of the actor Ryan Banks, or that of an actual normal person that would appear on a reality show. It may have been a combination. Either way, the movie was good. I don't claim to be movie critic, and haven't written a photo crtique in years, but the role of Ryan Banks seemed to be a little insensitive for the story to be a romantic comedy. The movie may have also have been better with a little more exaggerated comedy scenes instead of the typical reality show scenes. The behind-the-camera shots was an interesting addition to how a movie is actually produced, and the graphic angle of view shots were pretty cool (ie: Ryan Banks in his bedroom in front of a poster of himself.) This was the only movie I've seen Jason appear in, so I'm used to his role on 90210. It was very different seeing him in the movie world. I guess I'll have mixed emotions about his work until I see other movies.

I actually sat through most of this film with my older sister (quite an anomoly for me), and it was not nearly as bad as I expected. I thought it was predictable, but not overtly clichéd. Most importantly, my attention did not drift.
On the downside, that corny theme song of the reality show itself has not left my brain yet. God help me!

shareI agree with you about being use to seeing Jason in his role of Brandon. It is hard to get use to seeing him any other way. He was so good at that Brandon gig. I read that same message about it being real to Jason's life. That is so not true. Jason is nothing like the character in the movie. From what I know about him he is a great guy. He is not a jerk like he was in the movie. He is very down to earth and so much fun to be around. He was definetly playing a part. It had nothing to do with his own personal life. It may have had some similarities but that is it. I don't know why that person said that? I do not agree with them.

The leads were all great, with great chemistry....plus I loved the spoofing of the romantic reality shows. Excellent :)))) I gave it an 8!
I liked the movie too and thought it was really cute! I am so glad that Todd and Charlie ended up together in the end! I thought Todd was so hot and the perfect guy in the movie!! when will this be on again?
