Didn't appreciate this film 1st time.

It's funny how your perceptions change over time. The first time I saw this film I thought it a bit disappointing compared with Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. But watching it again many (many) years later I found the story, cast and filming really enjoyable - perhaps it's just one of those films you have to be in the right mood for.
