This movies inflated IMDB rating makes me lose respect for IMDB ratings

Wow that movie was awful ..

*The fact that others disagree with my opinion and voted collectively, that this movie deserves a higher rating than I, myself, believe it deserves, makes me a pretentious douchecanoe who thinks my opinion is worth more than it is.*

The thing is, the OP has a point. It appears the kind of people who watched this were predisposed to liking the content and those that didn't stayed away and haven't rated it. It's average at best and 7.5 does seem be somewhat inflated of its true quality. This is backed up by the 55 Metacritic score and Rotten Tomatoes score of sub 50.

You whine about IMDB ratings yet you give Spotlight 3/10 then give Big Bang Theory 10/10.

Everything is preference. I honestly don't care what rating you give, I just think it's ironic.
