As an American, could I really join one of these firms?

Actually looks awesome to me!

Everybody strap in, we about to open some windows

reply

There are thousands of firms in Europe. Nowadays English firms are not like in the 80s, there is far less football hooliganism. But in Eastern Europe firms are still strong.

reply

Not as easily as matie managed to, I'd imagine. Their leader seemed very nave to me

reply

Naïve, no

reply

...ot nave!
Sorry- I got autocorrected, then hit 'post' too early!

Hooligans no longer exist, really. Nowadays is called "Ultras" in Europe.

At this days the real violence is with the police. Now most people have jobs and better things to do.

In Portugal the bigger ones are:

Super Dragões [I am a member]
Colectivo 95
Porto Casuals
Diabos Vermelhos
No Name Boys
Directivo Ultras XXI
Juventude Leonina
Sporting Casuals
Torcida Verde
White Angels
Ultras Red Boys
Panteras Negras - Ultras 84

Check out his video, happen some time ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atYPEJkBqfs

As you can see the police controlled the situation in a few minutes. Also, this was just a 'Sporting Casuals' fighting regular football fans [they knew 'Super Dragões' weren't there], nothing else.

About your question:

No. Chelsea firm killed an American that had a pub just because he was American.

reply

I referred to it as soccer when I was studying near Stoke in a pub full of hooligans! Did not go down great but they were ok when we had a chat and a beer! Were quite happy to teach me a bit about "football"!

reply

Sure. Pop down to any local team in England and walk into a local and you'll fir right in. Please record it on your camera phone. 

Too bad there weren't cameras back in 1782... I could be all like, yeah, yeah? Well, how about you go check the recordings of you guys whipped with your tails between your legs, and France and Spain still lashing at your backs as you make a run for it? But most people wouldn't understand what I'm talking about...

reply

You mean the defeat of the British in the American Revolution?. Well, yes most people know of that but don't really harp on about really old crap like that. However back in 1814 the memory was still fresh and some bitter British marched in from Canada and burnt Washington to the ground, whilst the americans fled for the hills.

Well, that dude must've been pissed off he didn't get his tax money... or wait, he wouldn't have seen any of it.. Why was he mad again? Pride? That's terrorism. Like in 1605 how they (Catholics) tried to blow up the Parliament and James VI and I after they "merged" with Ireland, because Mary, queen of Scots married and probably killed Darnley like the vindictive bitch she was, allowing James to reign ultimate as the first and sixth king of Ireland and England respectively.

They tried to blow up the Parliament, the Catholics, some of the worst most evil terrorists on the planet. How about your "Bloody Mary" Mary I. Superb example of Roman Catholicism's historical perpetuation of their prophet Jesus' teachings. The irony is impossible to resist. You have to either laugh at it or cry about it. The Catholics..... Kill the Muslims, they are terrorists... Wait.. isn't it a sin or something to kill, not just Muslims, but Protestants, just lenient Catholics really! Not much difference but enough to behead them, crazy world full of morons. I guess you can't just shove aside millions of years of evolution and the will to belong to a pack (gang, army) and dominate (kill, eat, gain power). Makes me think of Maslow's hierarchy of needs for some reason...
