Now I can finally watch the movie, and listen to it in ENGLISH...now, I just wish they made AZUMI 2, in English Language...anyone have any idea if they are going to do that??? THANKS!

I don't mind watching animation dubbed because it usually fits the lipsync well, but I'd never be able to watch a dubbed live action movie...not necessarily because of the quality of the dub, but because it would be weird and annoying imo to watch something where the audio was out of sync.
It didn't think that they dubbed live action movies anymore anyway..just because i've got loads of foreign films on DVD and they never have English audio tracks, although maybe its different in America..I dunno~

the problem with dubs is that the dialog in English is NOTHING even resembling the original dialog. You can even miss important plot points because the people doing the translating conveniently leave it out. It wouldn't be so bad if it was just a faithful translation, but the translators butcher what the actors actually say.
shareTo be fair, they usually only do that to try and make it fit with the lip movements, but, yeah, I agree with everyone else. Dubs just look weird, lose meaning and are usually quite awful. Plus, I also love the sound of the Japanese language. You're free to watch dubs if you wish, but I'll never understand why anyone would want to.

It's not really a matter of ability, at least I hope it's not. Over here they only dub childrens movies, so I have watched movies with subs since I was 8 and prefered it to dubs since I was 10, and it hasn't seriouslt doubt that grown people have trouble with reading the subtitles. It all comes down to laziness, if you aren't used to reading subtitles it all seems like hard extra work, which it really isn't. I can't stand dubs, which is why I hardly watched a single asian movie pre dvd.
shareit takes practice!!!! My boyfriend couldnt read the subtitles because they were too fast and was so pasted to the scenes but I made sure subtitles are on all time (I'm hearing impaired) and a few months later, He can read them without having to LOOK at them, even! it takes practice. It's easy as grabbing something without having to look. I hate dubbed as well.
