His Character in Dust is a Struggling italian writer in the 1930s who looks, Towne says somewhere between a youn Tyrone Power and Clark Gable, yet is suppossed to be sexually insecure while in a volatile relationship with Hayek.
She herself was insecure when it came time for the two of them to do a nude scence on the beach. "I didn't want to come out of my trailer, and right before we had to do it, he took off his clothes and he started dancing and making the stupidest faces, running around naked in front of everyone, and he made it seem so silly that I didn't feel so bad."
And then while we're doing the scence we are fighting completely naked, he never once looked down Hayek says.(She did not look down either)
