Horrible Katrina accent

She is supposed to be from Aarhus, Denmark and her accent is at best a thick exaggerated German accent.

I haven't seen the movie yet, it's on HBO tomorrow, but do you mean the movie actually states the character was born and brought up in Aarhus of parents who were probably born and bred in Aarhus, and hence should have an authentic 'Aarhusian' accent or just that her acting roles should confine themselves to Southern Connecticut characters? I don't actually know all that many people from Aarhus, only two in my life, so I bow to your obviously superior knowledge of Danish accents and variants.

Everytime she says "your father", I just keep thinking of Goldmember....

I couldn't agree more. Sorry for the rant that is gonna follow this, but I have to get my fustration out somewhere :-)

I have watched about 20 minutes of this movie and I'm ready to turn it of because of her terrible, horrible, absolutely wrong accent.

I highly doubt she has ever heard a Danish accent, because she is soooo far of the mark as anyone can be. I have never ever in my entire life heard a Dane who could not pronounce an f properly in father and the way she sorta ends the words on a higher 'note' is NOT a Danish accent at all.
I do not know yet (as I have not finished the movie) whether or not it is vital to the movie that she is from Denmark, but maybe - just MAYBE - they should have left that part out since they apparently could not find an actress who could be bothered with learning a Danish accent.
Funny I would think that is part of her job when she accepts a role that requires it, you know being an actress and all...

Oh, and if you wonder then: YES I'm Danish and have therefore spendt most of my life hearing the ugly Danish accent when we speak english :-D

To me it sounded like Glenne Headly combined a stereotypical German accent with a stereotypical Swedish accent.
