the movie does not make any sense to me!

someone please explain why the movie is different to the orignal and why is there no pig faced creature, and changed into a little girl, so is the pig faced actually a DeFeo?

btw....if this were a true story as it said at the start of the movie and on the cover of the dvd....then why does it keep changing the events?...

and whats with the room down in basement with some creepy guy in there?

is this like some inidan burial grounds like from pet semetry?

if the DeFeos are really murdered becoz ronnie is told to do it by some voices in the house then why later he lied abt this *beep*

You should never believe the "based on a true story" tagline. Take it with a grain of salt. Fact is, it IS "based" on a true story, but the simple use of the word "based" leaves tons of room for liberties to be taken with the source material.

For example: Texas Chainsaw Massacre uses the "based on a true story" tagline, yet there was never any kind of chainsaw massacre in Texas involving a cannibalistic family and a man named Leatherface. It is, however, based on the story of serial killer, Ed Gein...who was nowhere near Texas. He murdered young women, wore their skin,made clothes/accessories out of their body parts, and also used them for furniture.

So, based on a true story could technically mean almost anything without being considered false advertising.

The Wizard of Oz could be a true story -- some girl on the prarie in Kansas or Nebraska or the Dekotas just dreamed it.

We'll add a few details to make the story more interesting ...
