Too inconsistent for it's own good.

Jump scare, quick torture montage, Reynolds going mad and then back to another jump scare. This film didn't really know what it wanted to be. Subtle horror or straight out gore film...and that's why it tanked at the box-office. ** out of *****

This actually did pretty well.

Just by name value. The movie wasn't good.

This movie is for s***. Some of the scares or images or whatever you want to call them were totally pointless to the story and characters because the characters didn't even see them, only the audience did. Stupid.

Dick, I am VERY disappointed.

I thought that a lot of the jump scares felt very out of place and could have been left out of the movie. The one at the end felt very random and pointless when they had the dead girl get pulled into the floor. I think they should have focused more on the subtle stuff like voices coming through the grates.
