Thank you for watching our film
I wanted to take a moment and thank all of you who took the time to watch our film. I am staggered and in awe to see a movie we made with consumer camcorders we bought for three hundred dollars at Target become a movie that people are watching from coast to coast and discussing. I hope for all of you out there woh have thought about making movies but haven't tried because you don't have a studio or an investor, that the success of "Sister Aimee: The Aimee Semple McPherson Story" will inspire some of you to make films with whatever you have. I never went to film school, and I had a minimum of training. I took a screenwriting class at Pittsburgh Filmmakers, and I've studied acting, so making this film was my film school and what an education.
I did an interview yesterday with a woman from France who really understood our film and cited the work and styles of directors like Bergman and Fellini and their influence. This was very gratifying to me, when someone has the background to understand the film cinematically and psychologically. I give a lot of credit to our cast and their performances, and also the post-production editors on our film, Jamie did most of it, then Adam polished it, and the collaboration was a major part in it's creation. I look forward to making movies and hope some of you will find it within you to create cinema too. Happy filmmaking, Richard Rossi
