Whats the name of the song when...

in chapter 18... just after the college is given one year of probation... whats that song when the main character kisses the chick? it kinda goes like do-do-do de do do do ..etc

It happens during the court thing... when they win after adams long speech and the guys like "dont judge our faces"

Thanks!

reply

BUMP!

reply

yeah .. i really want to know this song also. SOMEONE MUST KNOW

reply

The song is "To Be Young" by Ryan Adams. I think that song was played in the beginning of the movie "Old School", another college movie favorite.

reply

No .. that's not the song. That's the song that plays after Barnaby (sp?) and Monica kiss but the song we're talking about is the song that plays RIGHT AFTER the judge person says that the college would be open for 1 year and when everyones cheering.

EDIT :: after watching it another time, I heard a little bit of the lyrics and he starts out kind of "da da da doo de da da" and then "looooove, cooome againnnn" ... something like that.

reply

I searched AMAZON for Accepted soundtrack and apprently, the song isnt on there....

So i searched WIKIPEDIA "Accepted" which has a little section on the soundtrack AND songs that were NOT on the soundtrack. For some strange reason NON of the songs NOT featured in the soundtrack did not sound anything like the song i'm looking for...

*Sigh* how depressing.

I don't think it's available anywhere. I've heard every song they listed in the end credits and it's not there, but there are downloadable MP3's if you put the DVD in your computer (but you have to have a DVD-Rom drive). Check if it's there. I'd do it, but I don't have a DVD-Rom drive in my PC.

reply

To be more precise the song that we're all so desperately looking for is from 7:05 to 7:56 in the following clip as posted earlier by my friend.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=nV3pC2ZKeOw

So please please please my sweet friends, don't give up. Please continue the search to find this song.

To quote the exact words from soundtrackinfo.com

"Q: What song is playing when all the *beep* kids are happy in the courtroom because they're able to continue the college? (from JOhn in washington)
A: I'm not sure what the name is, but I think the artist is David Schommer. If you put the DVD into your computer (if it has a DVD-rom drive), it'll let you download some original songs made for the movie in MP3 format. It may be there. (thanks to Anthony, Chicago, IL)"

So guys, if any of you are able to successfully download the song that we all seek, please let us know.

Thanks.

reply

part 10 on the youtube postings is the credits and the songs used are there- you could Google or sample in itunes every song (there's not that many) and find the right one.

reply

Its not on the CD and not listed in the credits..

reply

Why don't you just do that then?

put the DVD into your computer (if it has a DVD-rom drive), it'll let you download some original songs made for the movie in MP3 format. It may be there.

I have a feeling its made for the movie and ISNT on the DVD...

But if it was made for the movie, why bother add lyrics into the song?

Do we give up and allow fate to come? Or do we pursue the hunt fellow movie watchers?

The song is called "Close To Me" by The Cure

reply

Wow.. thats quite a hefty prize...

reply

BUMPO!!!

I love this song, but like everyone else, I can't find out what it's name is. It's like El Dorado. We know it exists, but we don't know where. :D So, Bumpo, please find it!

reply

Bump!!
i wanna find that song too
its probably just been made for the movie
they should have made it a full song and released it!!!

reply

Bump

I'm interested to come on people

They made me do it

reply

That´s funny... No one knows what it is... it´s a big hit already...

reply

Does anyone have IMDB PRO and maybe can get some phone numbers from people who made the movie? You can post it and some of us will call and try and find out.

reply

BUMP!

reply

yes it is... damn! still can't find it... don't people who worked on the movie at least come check this board out?

reply

Anyone still looking for the song?

The hunt isnt over yet. We can't let an epic song dissipate forever like this.

reply

Yes but I think it is a lost cause. The thing is, even if it was recorded just for the movie they had to of made a full song. Why won't they release it?!

reply

I´m just wondering... what are the folks doing who actually worked on the movie? Do they never get the chance to have a look at this thread? Pls., let us know what's that song called...

reply

BUMP!! I really wanna know this song too!

reply

[deleted]

You guys have been looking for this song for almost 2 years?? That's incredible... hardest song to find ever I guess... hope you find it some day...

reply

I would like to know what this song is too. But, more importantly, there's a Pixies song in this movie! U-Mass totally fits the moment they used it in. No one uses them anymore except for this movie and the O.C. - and when it was on the O.C. it was because what's-his-face was all drunk.

Off topic, but about Pixies, so altogether worthy.

reply

Haha wow... it's almost 2 years since i've been trying to find this song.

I wonder if any of you guys who posted in this thread still come here from time to time to see if anyone know the song...

Don't give in.. keep the hope and it'll come eventually... somehow.

reply

I to have been looking for this song. I watched the movie today for the first time in awhile and Im wanting this song as well. The song plays 3 times first when bartleby makes that fake acceptance letter close to the begging of the movie and again it plays when he gives the speech to all the kids in the middle of the movie and also at the end when they decide to let the college stay open for a 1 year trial.

reply

[deleted]

Yea I still check. I really wish someone with authority would pick up on this and say fans have been looking for 2 years and make a story out of it, lol. That way someone can see it and tell us who it is.

reply

ok, here's an idea. try googling the lyrics and see what comes up and try from there. you'll get farther than you would by just bumping the thread over and over again. good luck, btw

reply

When they play the song there arnt any words with it just the music

reply

You are an idiot. We have tried this.. why don't you read the thread instead of just posting useless stupidity.

reply

BUMP

reply

BUMP!!!!

This is a bump.

reply

1. What is the song played during the DVD menu.

2. What is the song played just at the end of Bartleby's speech welcoming them to *beep*

reply

It is "Let the Drummer Kick" by Citizen Cope.

I recommend you educate yourself and listen to his music...

But, I was super flattered that you were searching for it, and am sending it to you here on a personal musical gift vibe. Enjoy!

It's 2010, more than 2 years since i made this topic.

I am going to download the song and listen to it before i sleep.

I will read everything you posted tomorrow.

But I will say this now:

Thank you so much. You are truly remarkable for putting so much effort into finding a song that nobody knows. After years of finding it, everyone would've given up by now.

But not you. I love you, man.

*edit*

And I just remembered.. I watched Accepted on TV for the first time in years 3 days ago.

I was around the part where the jocks created a "Parent Teacher" day and the truth is exposed, main character goes to court.

Watched up to the part where the song plays after main character wins ;)

do do do do do~

Anybody still have this song? Went to the link and it was dead?

reply

I lost my copy of the song :\

reply

I still have it!

Here you go: http://wikisend.com/download/493392/B_WINS_FULLMIX.mp3

Even if it is not a "full" song, I still love this tune! If the composer made a full single version of it, it'd have surely became a big hit. Well, it's kind of a forum-hit already...

reply

Thank you so much robertmartez! It's 2016, I'm going to save it to my cloud service so I'll never lose it.
