Painting Over mirrors???

I am watching the episode called "Santa Fe, New Mexico: Reggie and Melody Whitehead". In the episode they have a pool room with mirrors on the walls of the room. When Roger tried to remove a mirror he said it took 30 minutes and was very dangerous.

Roger's idea to save money was to simply paint over the mirrors and Tanya thought is was a great idea. ????

1) The paint will scratch off leaving a new expense for the people that buy it.

2) If they do not tell the buyers about the mirrors, of which I would guess they did not, as two sets of people that had looked at the house "before" the renovations actually said "those mirrors are gone". If they ever buy the house they should sue to have "Sell This House" pay for the actual removal of the mirrors.

You buy a house, you buy potential quick-fixes that people do just to sell it. A friend's mom once bought a house and it turned out the septic system was so messed up that she had to have someone come out and pump it every month. Personally, I'll take painted mirrors over anything like that!

Problem with painting over mirrors and not telling anyone, if someone wants to hang a picture of the wall, what happens? They wind up hammering a nail into glass.
