The open houses

They always seem scripted to me. So often the people looking at the open house before the work is done, are insulting the people's furniture and style. Yes, I realize that affects how the buyer sees it but they seem to talk more about style and furniture then they do about the actual house they would be buying. Then when they come through the house after the work is done they still end up talking about the furniture and style. Who cares - you're not buying the furniture, just the house.

Plus I watched one episode the other day where they redid a house that had this ugly green carpet throughout the house. People criticized the carpet, and it was ugly so they were justified in their complaints. But when they redid the house the carpet stayed and they just repainted rooms and staged it. So when the people came through after the remodel, not one person said anything about the carpet. Yes, the place looked better but someone still should have commented that ugly green carpet was still there and would need to be replaced. Instead Roger claimed that because of the paint and the staging no one noticed the carpet. Yeah, right!!

Same thing on an episode I watched today. The living room had this bright red-orange carpet and it was discussed as being ugly and outdated and yet the carpet stayed and no one who came through the open house the second time had a problem with it.

You should stop watching the show, it is not good for your blood pressure!

I thought the same thing when I watched that episode! No one wants that ugly carpet.

Exactly and replacing carpet costs money. So there's no way people would just ignore it the 2nd time.
