Should have start from The First Triumvirate

I really wish this series were longer. The Start of First Triumvirate could easily make 4-5 seasons, it would be so much more epic. Marcus Crassus, Pompey, Julius Ceaser make a name for themselves through campaigns and starting First Triumvirate. cloak and daggers plots ensued and there will be more military plots and scenes. Also meanwhile Vorenus and Pullo just starting their carriers as a common soldiers. I wonder if there was a possibility of some kind of a prequel when HBO finished the series . . . I am fully understand that right now is just next to impossible when GoT and Westworld become a juggernauts of HBO shows . . .

I agree, I was wondering why Crassus wasn't portrayed but maybe his story along with everything else that was going on would have cost even more money. The only time Crassus is mentioned is when Antony and Cicero meet one last time in season 2.

Crassus had just died when the story began - 53 bc. We were probabaly in 54, when Julia died, and rapidly moved to 52 BC, when Vercyngetorix was defeated. Then in 2nd episode we jump to 49 when Caesar crosses Rubicon.
I would love to see Spartacus, Catiline conspiracy (73 bc) and young Marcus Antonius. A year earlier, in 74 young Caesar decided to go to Bithynia and his career begun. There are so many graet characters to portray, exceptional women, as women in that exact time held a very considerable power and position in comparison to the earier and later times. The conflict between Ceasar and Antony has never been shown. I love the series, but the greatest inacuracy is to depict Antony only as an alcoholic and womanizer.
The transition of Cicero from a sort of popular to optimate defender, his personal feud with Antony's family, that's super intersting.
