the director is dead, the production designer is dead, the producer is credited with another ghost film, Ghenghis Khan, the official page does not exist...I'd like to know how is it possible and not controlled ?

i just saw the trailer too....
so, it's not a hoax, but how / when / where / will this be released ?

Summary for English speakers - movie will be available in three versions, 7-parts TV version produced by Russian Channel One to be aired this November, 3-hour theatrical release for worldwide distribution and Italian TV-version still in production. Release dates for later two versions produced by Rispoli is not known.

The movie was edited by Fyodor Bondarchuk, son of the original director Sergei.

Well...considering he made his post in the summer of 2004, I can imagine he hadn't the info we have now. So saying that is a little bit crude :p

It was originally filmned back in 1990, it features in Rupert Everett's biography.
