I'm a huge Ralph Fiennes fan and can't wait to see this film. I was really excited when I saw the release date and planned on seeing it over Christmas Vacation, but then I heard that 12-21-05 is a Limited Release date (NY and LA only). Does anyone know when/if The White Countess will come out at all theaters? Please tell me I don't have to wait for the DVD!

From a bit o'Internet research, I think it's only releasing in LA/NY/Chicago; as of now, they only have released a distribution date for the limited release. This is probably just to make sure that it's in the Oscar race; a wider release is probably going to happen in 2006. From what I know, it's pretty rare for a big studio film to not at least try a few weeks of widespread release, especially one with such marquee actors in it. It should (eventually) be coming to a theater near you!
