Ralph finnes acting similarly to jimmy stewart

i thought that ralph finnes acted a lot like jimmy stewart in this film.

I agree--he sounded a lot like him. He also sounded a bit like Jason Robards at moments, I thought.

I disagree. He does not have the awe shucks attitude of Jimmy Stewart. It is also amazing how there are so many fine engish and Australian actors and how the manage so many accents

I really didn't see that at all..

Ralph Fiennes is a completely different actor than from Jimmy Stewart.

As I was watching it just now I thought that perhaps he was trying to model his speach after Jimmy Stewart. Very similar cadence but a bit too stilted. Just my 2 cents.

Vocally I didn't think of Stewart or Robards - the voice and accent he affected made me think of Anthony Perkins.
