shareI also love there live shows. But this movie is over dramatic and not a real representation of people and events back then. For example the KROQ interview, in the movie it shows they were all sober and semi serious, and if you have heard the real one its not like that at all. But it is your choice, I personally can't stand the movie.

shareoh well I think the scene was done fine. I mean it couldnt have been as long as the actual interview obviously, and the way they did it was more hollywoodized, but it was alright. and they actually took some parts from the actual interview anyways like the whistle thing. The germs are a great band and this movie wasnt great, but it wasnt as terrible as some people make it out to be either.

I think the scene is terrible. The atmosphere of the scene in the movie was nothing like it is in the real interview. They made it way to serious, where in the real one everything seems to be a joke to them.

shareI'm not sure, back when I used to listen to them alot it was all good to me. But maybe My Tunnel, slower version of Forming, Lexicon Devil and pretty much all the live stuff is awesome. Yours?
shareoh yeah its all pretty great. I really love the stuff they did for cruising though, towards the end. Going down, not all right and strange notes are a few of my favorites.....
Got any similar band recommendations?!!? Ive never really found anyone that sounded quite like the germs, except maybe the meat puppets on there first album
I don't really know any that sound like the Germs, there more of a one of kind band, but heres some other one of kinds that are awesome. The Screamers, The Spits, Reagan Youth, UK Subs, Joy Division/Warsaw, The Adicts and plenty of others that I can't think of right now.

Yeah Spits are a great band, so much variety in there music, while still having that awesome raw sound.
PS: Whenever you get the chance to get on to a computer that doesn't block programs, find and install SoulSeek, it has all/rarest music from bands like the Spits. Great program.
