What's Your Favorite Scene?

Mine was the pedestrian scene where he finally seems to find himself - standing alone.

I will have to go back and watch it again someday; what I remember may be more my impression than what actually transpired. I watched this on TV with commercials - and even worse, I missed most of the middle of the film; hope to see it again, but...

My favorite scene was toward the end when we see him practically lost in a sea of pedestrians (perhaps he was lost to himself), walking down a busy street describing the different stages in his life.

At first the street is filled with people; I suppose to symbolize both the perceived hyper-activity of a young man's life as well as the myriad of connections and possibilities; hopes and dream that he had before him. As Cage narrates us thru that pedestrian scene, we see fewer and fewer people as if to suggest that, as the years have gone by, his life has become less about a "world of opportunity" and more about the realistic choices that he is left with.

Finally, he is left standing alone with himself. He's outgrown his youthful "life is a candy store of opportunity" childish (crying over the things he never got) view and begins to become "The Weatherman".

Any thoughts on that scene?
