man what a waste of time this movie was. why would michael caine agree to such pointless rubbish?

I didn't think I was going to, but i really enjoyed it. Misleading marketing. Similar vein to Alexander Payne's (Election, Nebraska) hyper-realism suburban tongue in cheek trainwreck that we can identify with while simultaneously laughing and wanting to slit our wrists at the poignant mirrored underlying societal truths. Reminded me a lot of Election and The Savages in the best ways possible.

I must agree, I found this to be a very depressing and needlessly raunchy movie that I didn't like at all. it had no point, I mean his life sucks and everyone hates him, ok, but nothing gets resolved in the end. btw his wife was a total bitch.
