since theyre both will ferrell childrens pics i think its fair to compare "elf" to "kicking and screaming" which one do u guys think is better?
personally im gonna give my vote to elf ,both films have some great lines but elf is def. better
I think Elf is cuter and K&S has more of a moral. I think I'm gonna go with Elf, though. He's so funny as an innocent kid-like person.

yeha good call shamrock but i also think the line "this reminds me of the north pole only it smells like mushrooms and everyone wants to hurt me" helps it out a little

Elf had clever writing and K&S didn't. Elf had a big heart and lots of good laughs, KS didn't. Elf solicited a great, energetic performance from Will, KS didn't. Elf is a very good movie, and KS... isn't.
Elf made $173 million dollars... KS made $45. Numbers don't mean a movie is good, but there is a reason Elf lasted so long at the theaters and KS didn't.
im gonna hafta agree with impfac on this one.... kicking and screaming has a couple lol scenes but those are few and far between...

shareElf, definitely. Maybe I'm just a sentimental sucker but I especially loved the ending with Santa flying off through the city. Then of course there's the scene with Miles Finch. Oh man. "Ya feeling strong my friend?!" lol

As of right now, neither I haven't seen Kicking and Screaming, and I am not a fan of Elf right now, so I have to say netiher, I do have Kicking and Screaming rented out a video store, I only have 2 days to watch it, even throught they say it is a 3 day rental, because they count the day that it is rented as Day 1, and I got it today, so I either have tonight or tommrrow night to get it watched.
shareWell seeing since I have seen both movies, and I hope never to see ELf again, I would have to say Kicking & Screaming, I much rather see him play a newsman or even a soccer coach then a person that thinks he is an elf, you don't usually see movies like that, Elf is one of the movies that should have gotten a bad review from the critics.
shareAfter seing elf i thought to my self......man that was stupid. Will ferrell tries to force his humour onto you. Then I saw kicking and screaming and I then tought, Will farrell tries to hard to be funny. he was funny in saturday night live, not in these wastes of money movies. His humour and acting is the same in all his movies. He should stick to more minor roles like in starsky and hutch or wedding crashers which i had a border line amount of respect for him in.

Elf.
This one, whilst cute, is pretty much terrible from start to finish.
You know it makes sense.
Any movie where a grown man pushs a little kid by the head down to the ground on a soccer field and tries to say the kid fell is funny in my book. K&S wins out for me.
