This has got to be his worst performance to date. I love his antics, but its like they took his best qualities as a comedian and buried it under crappy writing and bad editing. Its like Will Ferrel light. This movie is only good for children and should be avoided by adults at all costs. If you are a Ferrel fan do yourself a favor and skip this because you may never watch another one of his movies again.

shareI'm sure that this movie didn't do well in America, for the sole reason that they weren't playing an American sport in it, but rather one which the rest of the world enjoys.

shareWhen I first heard about the movie in 2004, I thought it sounded like a good idea. Then I saw the previews and it looked very bad. Then I watched the movie, and thought it was merely OK. That's a complete 360.

He was hilarious and so was this movie, especially the scene leaving the butcher truck... It's hardly just a children film, as many of the scenes (addictions, etc) were geared towards the older audience (14+). I realize alot of the scenes just kind of popped up at random and it didn't run smoothly but it didn't have to, it was like a long sketch almost with a decent enough story.
Awesome one liners by Will Ferrel as well.
It was very funny, prob 8.2/10 or something just for comedy.
I thought this movie was hilarious! I think you just have to go into this movie not expecting a great story, but definately had me cracking up..especially when they kicked Farrell out of the coffee shop..lol. This was definately not one of Farrell's worst movies!

He does comedy and this movie is funny as hell! Is it silly? sure, Is the story-line familiar?....yes...but so what...Will is as funny as it gets...This isn't "Crash" or "Gangs of New York"...it's a Family style comedy that is actually pretty funny. It is what it is.

this movie was aight but I especially liked the game right before the finals it made me laugh out loud. and as someone allready mentioned before his worst movies were elf and ancorman.

i totally agree. I think i laughed once . It's just too family orientated for ferrel. I really liked Elf though. That was a good mixture of PG fun and still real comedy laughs.

shareyou have to hand it to him though, he really does try to make things work, his performances alone in both kicking and screaming and bewitched were funny he does make the most of what he has got even if the rest of the movies aren't so entertaining
