This Movie Is Underratted: ITS GOT A LOT OF FUNNY JOKES!

I never saw this movie at the cinema. I saw the advert, and thought that it looked crap.

But getting it out on DVD, I watched it and was surprised by how many funny jokes there were!

Phil meeting his wife after throwing a javellin near her and blaming it on the wind, and she goes, 'There is no wind' and he goes, 'there is over there'...and then the look on his face when he falls for her!

The competition between Phil and Buck Weston was hillarious: how the Dad gets engaged the day he does, and says, "I'm a man, I need a woman...ever since your mom died" and Phil goes, "she didn't die: she divorced you"

The whole coffee addiction thing....hillarious

The Byong Sun jokes, the Lesbian couple jokes, the "call the burns unit, I got you bad" HILLARIOUS!

The flash back to when Phil caught Pele's ball, and his dad graps it from him and says, "You get the next one" HILLARIOUS!

In short, GET THIS MOVIE OUT!

It gave me numerous 'belly laughs', and its rare for me to find a comedy that will do that.

This one does: ITS WELL WORTH A WATCH.

I completely agree. I saw it again last night and I can't believe it has such a low rating on imdb.

Comedies always have a lower score than most other genres it seems. Probably because most of the people who rate it have no sense of humor.

I'm glad I'm not the only one though who thinks this movie is seriously underrated.

Its funny....but I think its even funnier when you have the subtitles on...when I watched it other people were in the room making noise, so I put the subtitles on and the pure dialogue with the actors on screen made the jokes stand out and be even more hillarious.

You`re so right. me, my wife and our twelve year old daughter laughed continuosly, i loved (the brilliant) robert duvall reprising his role from the great santini in comedy fashion. family comedy at its best.

I got it,I got it,I got it...I ain`t got it

"I saw a bunch of nonsense out there. What was going through your head out there last week?"
"I was breaking my back for you coach because of my love for the game."
"LIAR!"

HAHAHAHA{:

and "Phil, I love you."
"What does THAT have to do with ANYTHING?"

"All in good time, Connor. But in the event the pizzas don't arrive, I have already made the decision... that we will eat Byong Sun"

how's this for a wet dream? {freddykreuger}

I thought it was only marginally funny at points, but yes, it is totally underrated.

The juice box scene alone is enough to bump it up to a 6.0 at least. :)

LOL
The first time I saw it I laughed so hard I got the hiccups.
This movie is hilarious.

I agree. For me, it is one of the better Will Ferrel movies. Plenty of funny moments and it didn't depend solely on Ferrell. Ditka and Duvall really held their own.

Hear, hear. One of Will Ferrel's funnier movies IMO.

Life is never fair, and perhaps it is a good thing for most of us that it is not.

There are some classic moments in this gem, and quotes too.

The best was when his wife comforts him by telling him she loves him and he goes, WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING?! It's funny because it's so true.
