It was entertaining enough. some of the ideas seemed a little bit tired. The part where people "on the street" get asked what they think about Jack Armstrong, and the women on the steps of the courthouse chanting "Jack Armstrong". That was lame. The whistle blowing story could have been good. The Lesbian impreganation story was thrown in for sensationalism. Blame Michael Genet for writing it.
I like most Spike Lee films and like the fact he can get his opinions heard through film. However, the part where Monica Bellucci says "hey we're not all in the mob", then introduces Jack to her Mafia father, that was also lame. I think he's made his point before about Italian Americans, so it's nothing new. However, John Turturro was good, so was Jim Brown, and Isiah Whitlock Jr in his typical role. I like the Watergate scenes too.
Maybe this was disappointing after how much I enjoyed 25th Hour.
