The Last Good Spike Lee Movie

Q: Who can tell me what was the last "good" movie Spike Lee has made so far?

A: For one,I saw only half of "She Hate Me",and to me it was a disappointment.
Other words, stupid in my book. It was in the theatres where in my opinion no one went to see it,the reason? No one isn't going to cough up over $10.00 to see a really bad film, think about it since the night I saw it with a all-white audience in a small arthouse theater,no one really care about the story about a brother getting some dykes pregnant, and with that said they walked right out the cimema right after me. It is out on video by the way and I would love to see this in the unrated version instead of the "R" rated one. But lets face it: Only a few good Spike Lee films were absolutely brilliant in my book and the ONLY movie that struck a chord with its audience and to some of Spike Lee's critics was the movie version autobiography of "Malcolm X",which was one of his best films ever made by those who thought the film was an inspiration.
As we close in on the 20th Anniversary of the first Spike Lee film, which was a independent cimema masterpiece "She's Gotta Have It",here are some of the best and worst of the Spike Lee films........

First Off,I start off with the WORST Of The Spike Lee Films:
"She Hate Me"
"The 25th Hour"
"Girl 6"

The BEST Of The Spike Lee Films:
"Malcolm X"-Oscar Nominated in 1992,Denzel Washington,Best Actor
"School Daze"
"Jungle Fever"
"She's Gotta Have It"
"Do The Right Thing"
"Mo Better Blues"
"Four Little Girls"
"Son Of Sam"
"Bamboozed"
"Drop Squad"-serves as producer and screenwriter
"Huey Newton"-serves as producer
"One On One"-the Denzel Washington movie that featured NBA great Ray Allen.
**There were others but I can't come up with here as of yet...........

I actually liked 25th Hour, it's one of his better movies (focuses much more on the characters and the drama with the situations as opposed to race, the mirror monologue not withstanding). Malcolm X I think is vastly over-rated. I still need to see Mo Better Blues (for the music, if nothing else) and She's Gotta Have It. Do The Right Thing and Summer of Sam are his best films, and Sam Jackson had one of his five best performances in Jungle Fever. That's about it for me. While I think it's good a director like Lee broke through and broke new ground, I think he's also over-rated.
