This is my first film dealing with homosexuality in the Chinese American community. The soundtrack is nice.

Should check out The Wedding Banquet, directed by Ang Lee.

It's a really well written film, a bit fo shame it took Alice Wu nearly 16 years to direct/write another feature (the soild but fun The Half of It). I liked how it juggled the lesbian romance with the mother's pregnancy story.

The romance was done well, nothing groundbreaking in terms of story but the chemistry between Lynn Chen and Michelle Krusiec was strong. Joan Chen although steals the movie as the mom. It's definitely one of those rare top tier Lesbian films you can see.
