Is this movie motivating?

i've read the comments and plotline of this movie, and i'm wondering if this would be a good movie to show my cross country team. what do you think?

This movie is fantastic! I have run Boston and Around the Bay, and was so moved by this movie that I was shaking in the theatre. Maybe teenagers (I assume your runners are teens) would not be motivated by it, I can't say for sure, because many are cynical. But I would show it to them anyway.

it's very motivating, but it's also not completely centered around the running aspect. there's a lot to do with religion and faith and family values and love also (all of which of course are important) and the actual running in it is fairly unrealistic- I mean the times that Adam's character got would probably be impossible and no one could be 2nd in the boston marathon at the age of 14, having only been running for 6 months. It's a great movie about love and perseverance and faith, and as the captain of my school's cross country team I absolutely loved it, but it would depend what message you were trying to convey to your team.

My husband and I watched this movie loved it so much we watched it again today. It is very inpriring.

I do X-Country and now im doing track. I watched this movie with my friend last night and while we were watching the movie my friend turns to me and says "I feel like running now." and she's pretty lazy haha. So yes, i tihnk it's very motavating.

i havent run for a long time,partly due to laziness,but mainly due to having so little time between long hrs at work,but even so after watching it i almost swore i'd start again! (...then however i reminded self i dont have the time and not to make promises to self i can't keep lol-but all same answer is yes,its motivating ...)

I thought it was very motivating. When Ralph confessed to masturbating 22 times in a week, I decided to try it myself.

That's about par for a 14 yr old. See also 'Lifeguard' where the puberty stricken kid is claiming to set the world's record for jerking off.
