I have to admit....

I rented Sands of time a few times when it came out, but wasn't impressed... and then, when Warrior within came out, I was hooked that has become my fav. game... and two thrones came out, and rocked, So I decided yesterday to go buy Sand of time and play through it, and it just rocks I am so into it now, and now Prince of Persia and Devil may cry are my fav. series of games!

That sounds like one ironic little adventure.

Hell, I got totally hooked on SoT after just playing it on a demo disc. I begged my parents to preorder it for me. And then WW was announced. That is when I became an offical PoP fanboy :D

Awwwww - poor you!!

I am probably THE worst at this game!! I mix up all the buttons and the only fight thing i can use is 'square' x 100! I got this game with my PS2 and left it a year before I could play it! I LOVE this game sooo much now - but I played T2T before WW - kinda ruined the story and I hate Kaileena - Farah is the best - although her voice annoys me in T2T!

The problem with living in the UK is that they edit games - on the official website it listed nudity and actual decapitations but the Eurpoe version has none of this. Did we miss anything??

I am looking forward to the movie - but I hate the whole no cast being decided thing - hurry up already!

reply

They removed the nudity everywhere. They decided it just wasn't neccessary, but the ESRB refused to re-rate the game, so they got stuck with the nudity warning. As far as decapitations go, I'd say no. The heads just kinda fall off, like they are detachable and the prince just pulled the pin out. No where near as good as the dismemberment in WW.

reply

Ohhh. Ok - that makes sense. But we didn't get the actual dismemberment in WW either, I don't think. They censor all US stuff - maybe they think we brits can't handle it!! Oh well, I love the games anyway!

reply

That's odd they'd censor it in WW. There was an option in the startup screen that allowed you to turn the blood off or on. If it was on, the blood and dismemberments were all visible. If it was off, the blood graphics were sand colored so it just looked like more was coming out with each blow, and the dismemberments weren't shown. It must have been pretty boring watching all those slow motion shots when nothing signifigant is being shown.

reply

Yeah - we could turn off the blood as well, but I think some of the more graphic stuff was toned down. The moves were okay, but kind of repetetive. I don't know how high the USA M rating goess age-wise, but for us the game was rated as a 16 (second highest - highest is 18 I think) so that could be why - I don't know. I'm just glad nothing vital was lost, thats all LOL! I'm going to check thouhg, just in case the blood had been turned off during the game - I wanna see peoplee be beheaded LOL!

reply

Not just beheaded, sliced in half, strangled, impaled, cut d@amn near to pieces, and crushed to death. (the slice in half is my fav. finisher)

If only they'd timed the horizontal halving right so the guy wasn't already falling apart before the dagger even touches him.

God, I h8 that!

sands of time has to be my personal favorite game ever, warrior within was okay, but i wouldnt play it again and i flat out hated two thrones. most people are exactly the opposite though.

it was funny how i started playing it. I bought the game and my friend played it before me and got stuck, he was trying to get the dagger but kept falling down, he asked me to try it and i did it first time, he kept pressing jump too many times and i figured out all you need to do it time it, after that i was hooked, the battles were hard for me back then but i managed it, and soon got to the end. Now the battles are fast and i use their attacks against them, i just roll out the way when they swing and they hit the others. I've mastered it now and my last save point was 3 hrs 43 minutes and that's with all the fighting, i never skipped any fights, even the bridge battle was easy and i used to always skip that cause they'd all gang up on me and i'd fight but they'd manage to hit me and i'd soon die. Now i do wall attacks on them or attack with the dagger, then jump and slash to finish them quick, and use their attacks against them by dodging. 2 enemies can be jumped over slashing with the sword then finished with the dagger, its so easy once you know what their weaknesses are.
