'Nordic Type 1B'

I think the protagonist was classified as the Nordic Type 1B, after the "medical examination" of his eye color, hair color, skull length/proportion

I was wondering if "Nordic Type 1A" was somebody with even lighter hair and/or eyes and/or bigger skull (or whatever they measured)

I know it's all pseudoscience, but even so, based on it, I am sure a lot Slavic with extreme light hair and eyes could have achieved the highest, or nearest the highest race classification. Yet, Slavs were treated nearly as bad as the Jews.

Blond & blue eyed Russian POWs were starved to death in the open camps, while dark eyed & dark skinned US POWs were kept in a relative comfort. So, it's seems even the internal logic of Nazi pseudoscience was badly broken.

youre almost answering your own question, but you are unaware of the VolksDeutche, where racially-acceptable, ie those who could pass those tests we saw, in fact, those from Russia or its satellites or Poland, who in fact looked more German than the Germans themselves, were indeed to promoted to Gwrman effectively..

it was a good excuse to put badly-needed extra manpower into the German army..
it is said that half the troops manning the defences at Normanby at D-day were Slavic-German troops , collaborationist Poles and Russians/white russian/Baltics/Ukrainians.

Actually I was aware of Volke Deutche, it's just it seems Germans were foremost nationalists, and they merely bend the race theory to make the German nationals look superior. And with exception of Jews, non-Aryan looking Germans still trumped over Aryan looking non-Germans, race theory notwithstanding.

So, it's regretful that there was so much backlash against racism, and considerably less against nationalism, since in my opinion nationalist not racism contributed to the bloodshed in Europe. And here in US, were it's almost impossible to define an "American race", American nationalism (which is commonly disguised by "American exceptionalism" & patriotism) was the main culprit of the many of the pre & post Cold war conflicts.

Cannot be generalized like that. Slavic nations were allied with Nazi Germany, Romania and Bulgaria for example. Soviet POWs and civilians were treated extremely bad, but again: It can't be generalized like you did. "Slavs were treated nearly as bad as jews" as a general statement is not true.

Dude, Nazis classified Slavs as subhumans and exterminated them just as quickly, if they could gain strategical benefit or wealth.
But in that cases the alliances were beneficial. Hitler had a beneficial pact with Stalin too, yet he broke it later (causing 29 million deaths among Soviets). Who says he wouldn't have done it to Romania or Bulgaria?

And here a bit of Wiki regarding Belarus to address some previous posts and the lie "Germans would integrate blond and blue eyed Slavs as Germans":

"Himmler had pronounced a plan according to which 3/4 of Belarusian population was designated for "eradication" and 1/4 of racially cleaner population (blue eyes, light hair) would be allowed to serve Germans as slaves."

Those guys were evil. They just had not the opportunity to fulfill their plans.

How come nazis don't bring up the fact that Hitler did not have blonde hair and blue eyes and yet he's their fuhrer. I think Nordic type1A must of been someone albino looking.
