Among my favorite 'horror/slasher' movies!

I've seen a lot of horror movies.

My favorites include The Ring, Insidious, Cabin In The Woods (hilarious, interesting plot that sucks you in), Scream (the sequels weren't that bad, but seriously #1 all the way!), and now I guess THIS (note these are movies that came from the top of my mind, probably forgot quite a few).

Why? First of all, great cast!

Seriously, I loved Owen, and me being a BIG Supernatural fan, loved Jared Padalecki =) The rest of the cast didn't really ring a bell to me in terms of recognition, I mean I basically only knew Jared, and Jon.. :P

But so what? They were great, convincing characters, that I actually cared for, and was interested in their development. Although in the end, I hated all of them. Those who watched know why. Guess it's the film's way of making you and Owen be on the same page of feelings and emotions.

So what made this movie? Not cliched. Interesting plot and characters. Actual characters you care for. Soundtrack. Actors and acting. And of course, unless I'm forgetting something- THE ENDING. Holy *beep* the ending.

Won't spoil anything. It's amazing though! But isn't the only good factor to the movie, that's for sure.

I just generally loved it. And the first scene with the murder did make me expect a bad, cliche-filled movie, especially afterwards when they made all the characters look dumb as *beep* (normal in horror movies), yet the weak start is what made me WOW so much in the end when I realized how awesome this movie got, and overall is.

If the beginning didn't feel crappy, I wouldn't have appreciated this movie so much, because it would've been just awesome, not shockingly awesome, due to how it kicks into action.

I wouldn't call it a horror or slasher, it's more of a mystery/drama/thriller.

I'm Eli Goldsworthy and I approve this message.

it's mine favorite also,
i watched it from time to time, i like its atmosphere, it's just right.
i find it similar to urban legends 1 and 2, which are also one of my favorites

Although I don't know how much my opinion has changed, I did post this in 2012.. some benefit of the doubt here?

Tell me, do you bleed? You will.
