Hard as CRAP! - Jak II (2003) Discussion

Ugh, I got stuck on so many parts and I kept thinking "this is the LAST time I'm gonna try this part" and I would either suceed, or shut the flippin game off. Are you on the part where you have to like, drive the lurkers somewhere?

Have you tried driving lower, like under all the other cars? I hate the parts where you have to drive fast, I always mess up. Good luck, though!

Jak 3 is easier than Jak II because the weapons are more powerful and you have the ability to completely heal at anytime.

If you want a challenge though, play the game using only the 4 original weapons and don't use the heal ability. I think you'll find Jak 3 to be as hard as, if not harder than, Jak II.

Either way, Jak 3 is still a much better game than Jak II -- and that's saying a LOT.

I haven't played Jak for almost a year! The game is just too dam hard! I couldn't even get past the first bit!

I beat Jak II but never beat Jak 3.

The hardest part for me was destroying the hellcat cruisers. The damn things kept escaping me and i always got blown up. it took me like 50 tries before i beat that part.

Yeah this was a really hard game.

I don't think it was hard, just challenging. If you keep playing it, sooner or later you'll get past the part that you can't seem to beat.

Yeah I agree. I just found that the more I did it, the better I got & eventually I was able to get past the bits that were giving me the *beeps*

That part was challenging, but I found repeatedly ditching cars helped alot. And even though the hover bikes are faster, for missions liket hat you need to go for bigger cars, they take more damage.

Plus, once you perfect the timing you can ditch a car and jump into a new one within a split second, no real time lost on missions.

I'm really good at the missions involving the hover vehicles whachimacallits. Just use the lower hover zone and have the Shatter gun ready to blast dudes out of your way.

HARD AS *beep*! I was on the part where you had to get to the garage in under 3:00 for like a year. I think Naughty Dog explained it as a glitch.

Of course, that was because of glitches. Maybe you didn't get a glitch.

And by the way OP, try getting a larger, more darable car, drive lower and mow down any enemy troopers in the way. If that doesn't work, do all of the above and shoot down the troopers as you see them.

Oh my God, I KNOW. I would sometimes hold my breath for any hard part and not even notice I was until I gasp for air when I finally get it. The one that really got me was...well, I can't choose one. But I remember getting the last bomb into the eco well on the buzzer, it was a total fluke.

People can be real dicks online. Just because some people have trouble with a game, doesn't mean you can call stupid or whatever. Some of us don't spend all day ever day in front of a screen. For all of you who talk trash, you're just proving you're an *beep* Stop trying to act hardcore on the keyboard.

On a nicer note, anyone play the Daxter game? FAR easier.

Yeah, I've beaten this game twice now and I still think some missions are really hard. The worst missions for me in this game are:

1) Protecting Sig at the Pumping Station (due to glitches mostly)
2) Shuttling the Underground to their safe houses (I always blow up when I'm getting the last one to the water slums)
3) Getting the Seal Piece from the Water Slums (I HATE this mission with a passion!)
4) Driving the Lurkers around (both times)
5) Destroying the Eco tower at the Drill Platform (you know, the part with the Titan Suit. There is always one jump I can never seem to make)

I used to think the race to the garage in under 3 minutes was hard, but I found getting the yellow pass from Ashelin makes that one so much easier.

I absolutely love this game. I've beaten it more than five time(lost count after five) and yes it's challenging, but I think the only hard part involve racing. Those are that part that take a lot of skill.
