To Mr. Edward Martin III from Ricardo Kintero

Hi mr. Martin, my name is Ricardo Kintero, I^m 18 years old,i am from mexico and i havent seen your picture yet, because here in mexico its very hard to get independent movies, but im really really interested on watch it.
I want to know if there si some way to get it, and which is its cost.....i hope you can help me im a big fan of Mr. Lovecraft and i dont want to miss a movie that reflects his work.
As a suggest i want to say that it could be cool if you try to make the animation movie of "The Doghound", or "Arthur Jermyn", those are excellent and terrorific tales.

I hope you can help me.
Thanks....

Thank you for writing!

Copies of our movie can be purchased at http://www.hellbendermedia.com/ The DVDs are region 0 encoded, so you ought to be able to watch them anywhere you have an NTSC system. The current price includes shipping.

There are a couple of adaptations of "The Hound" that I think I've seen. One in particular is quite compelling. I don't think we're too likely to adapt that in the future.

Likewise the "Arthur Jermyn" story probably won't be adapted by us. Someone else might adapt it and more power to them, but it just doesn't enchant us the way some of Lovecraft's work enchants us.

We are looking at a couple of short adaptations in the next year or so, after our current feature ("Flesh of my Flesh") is out of post-production. We're hoping to complete three almost simultaneously by October 2013. Cross your fingers! 8)

Cheers,

Edward

Is this flick any good? What would you compare it to?

reply

Well, obviously I'm biased about it. I happen to like it very much and I've probably watched it more times than any human on the planet.

It is an extremely faithful adaptation of the book, but it is extremely low budget. So, pretty much whatever you read as far as reviews is probably about right, when all put together. No one has offered any criticism of the movie that isn't pretty obvious to us.

Tell you what, though -- take a look at the trailers online at

The animation in the movie is a little better than that, but that's about what you get.

Judge for yourself.

Cheers,

Edward
