Region 1 DVD: Faulty?

Do I have a faulty copy, or is it just a poor quality release? The picture deteriorates in several places, with noticeable pixelation.

The lion and the calf shall lie down together, but the calf won't get much sleep.

My Region 2 copy is perfect and doesn't pixelate. So you must have!

Are the Region 1 and Region 2 DVD packages the same, re: length etc.?

The region 2 disc has the on IMDB mentioned runtime of 114 minutes, but the aspect ratio is 1.85:1. I don't know about the region 1 version.

I watched the region 4 DVD, it's not anamorphic but at least it's a clean print.

seems the region 1 DVD is a crappy product.
