Costuming, Sets, Make-up

All of it was top-notch. I thought the series was beautiful to watch from that perspective. I especially liked that Sugar was pale and often had dark circles around her eyes. I just wonder if the powered lips were accurate for the age?

Finally we dropped Dish to go with U-Verse. Found this series in their Premium series line-up.

OMG!! What a gem this series is! I love period pieces and this has a style that I haven't quite seen before, almost a airy steam punk styling to me. It's beautiful and dreaming.

Not sure about the make-up and whether it's accurate for the age. Like I said, it's seems very much steam punk stylized. I adore it!!

I'm only on the 1st episode and I love every minute of it!

I too was very impressed with the sets, costumes and make-up. I think it's one of the most realistic period pieces I've seen! The direction and editing were out of this world (I loved how in certain scenes the camera was set off a bit right or left, partially obscuring its prey.) And the music!

POWERED LIPS?!? I've just got to get me a pair of those! (Mains or battery).

The lips weren't make-up, but result of a skin condition Sugar has.
