Wow! I'm glad I came here. I absolutely love this band. I'm not a big fan of the vocals, but musically, it's just about the best ever.
I've got 7 of their cd's, it's hard to choose a favorite song.
Dusk and Her Embrace would have to be my favorite album, and the best one overall. It's just perfect.
Nymphetamine and Born In A Burial Gown are a few of my favorite tunes. The whole Damnation and a Day cd is pretty awesome, there's a few there I really like on it but forget the titles, I'll have to listen again.
The first 3 regular songs on Dusk/Embrace I also love to death ("Heaven Torn Asunder," "Funeral In Carpathia," "A Gothic Romance"). And the beautifully done "The Graveyard By Moonlight" is another. It sounds incredible if you play it loud. But the whole cd is absolutely glistening from start to end, great stuff.
There's alot of great stuff on Cruelty & The Beast also, but the production sounds a bit weird to me. Still a great cd.
I've also got Midian, another great one. The opening intro "At the Gates of Midian" is amazing!
What else......the From the Cradle to the Enslave E.P. Has just 6 songs, but it contains some great tracks, including "Funeral In Carpathia II" and the title track.
I totally forgot how I found out about and got into COF, but I'm glad I did, they totally kick a$$, and I can't wait for a new album!

shareCradle of Filth are amazing, possibly the poppiest black metal could be, but all the better for it. Damnation and a Day sounds like the soundtrack to the end of the world, but Cruelty and the Beast has to be my all time favourite Filth album

I also think that thornography was an AMAZING album, and this will probably get me whinged at, but I do love it.
