nothing in it about leary being a big hack and stealing bill hick's routine for no cure for cancer? What a bunch of cowards.

Of course not it was probablly discussed before filming. And if you notice there are hardly any "comedians" roasting him, there all actors with no stand up history. Let some of his peers get up there have a turn with him, they would turn him to a smoldering pile of ash in the corner.

(i know, this post was made months ago) So your telling me that lenny clarke, jeff garlin, gilbert godfried, dane cook, colin quinn, jon stewart(yes i know he wasnt there), conan obrien(again wasnt there), nick dipaolo and mario cantone dont have any standup backround what-so-ever?

I don't think Conan ever did stand-up. I'm not a hundred percent sure, but I don't think so.

Neither am I but I figured I'd throw him in there too. I thought I heard him say one time that he did some standup before he got his show.

someone *did* say something and it was cut. i cant find the clip anywhere. i read a transcript tho that said the roaster (whoever it was) said "theres a carton of cigarettes backstage from bill hicks with a note that says 'sorry i couldnt get these to you sooner'" or something close to that. appearantly the reaction was not exactly pleasant, probably very uncomfortable. if you find this video email me please. im a hardcore hicks fan and would love to actually SEE leary squirm.

Should have had Jeff Ross, Greg Giraldo, and Lampanelli to roast him. They would have nailed him.

If Denis Leary didn't want to put up with "uncomfortable" jokes about how he ripped off Bill Hicks's act, he shouldn't have ripped off Bill Hicks's act!

According to the Wikipedia website Lenny Clarkes' remark about the carton of cigarettes was cut from television.

But is it included on the DVD of the roast?
