director trying too hard being artsy!

did anyone else feel this?! he's trying SO hard to give artistic shots, with the whole flashback deals, the memories, the way he's using color or fade-in/fade-out/ scene changes?

like there was that one scene where rahul bose's character breaks down at the end talking about his wife, and the way the director introduced this strange cinematographic effect where he skips a few frames between his crying.

Great movie, just trying too hard to be artsy.

in my opinion, chameli is the coolest flick i have seen so far in 2004. better than khakee indeed. man, director did a great job, script was reilly good, u know being close to reality isnt that bad. if u r reilly trayin fiction then do it anyway, but in a good manner. no one can do that, i have not seen bollywood doin that. but lets hope someone will do.

La Pura Verdad.

I thought it was a very good movie, not pretentious at all.
