GREAT MOVIE !! GREAT CAST !! THANK YOU FILM MOVEMENT !!

Yes, this was a great movie :)

I stumbled upon this film late one night on Netflix Instant Viewing and was truly touched by the sentiment.Three scenes took my breath away: Duck and Dan in the hotel room as Duck tries to reach Dan by touching his face--"rough, I like it." I didn't preceive this as a sexual scene, but one in which Duck was trying to get Dan to accept himself by showing him that he "liked" him...he touched him (in more ways than one).

The second scene that I found profoundly uplifting was when Dan reflected on Ducks touch...he touched his face in the same place in rememberance, which was reflected in his expression (the sideways grin of acceptance) and which made him rethink what he was doing--the noose was off--he had decided to live.

And finally, the last scene in which Dan indicates his acceptance of himself as well as Duck's genuine affection by placing Duck's hand in the very spot he had touched him in the hotel room. BRILLIANT! Fine writing and very fine acting enhanced by some interesting musical choices.

I greatly enjoyed the other subplots and other performances, but this one resonates with me even today.

I have gone on to view this film several times since and actively sought out other films the actors, actresses and director have taken part in. This has led me to a greater appreciation of the film scene in Canada--who knew!

And on a more personal note--I think Jim Allodi is hot!!! Not the characters he plays--but the man.

Certainly is good film. Finally watched it tonight
